Just recently (on my sister's suggestion) purchased a wonderful reference book called "The Knitter's Bible" by Claire Compton. I see that it was first published in the UK in 2004. I have found it most useful, even in the short time I have had it. Some nice patterns too!! but more importantly all kinds of stitches and finishing techniques. A must have in this knitters over-populated but well loved library!! love your blog and congrats on your move to the "lake">>! Susanne, Edmonton

I always refer to Stitch -n- Bitch by Debbie Stoller and Knitter's Book of Finishing Techniques by Nancie M. Wiseman.
